M.I Abaga Criticizes Saeon For Beefing Wizkid, Says Business is Business!

Looks like Saeon has created more enemies than friends in the industry for coming after Wizkid. Recall that Saeon went after Wizkid because he charged her over N1.5million for a collaboration. Click HERE if you Missed the News then.

M.I has backed Wizkid’s decision to collect the money Saeon offered while calling out Saeon for revealing such details to the public. M.I told Encomium Magazine

Let me quickly react to the rift between Wizkid and Miss Saeon. I think, personally, Wizkid did nothing wrong because it’s business. You approached him for business and he delivered. Business is business. In my own opinion, the way Miss Saeon went about it is wrong. You don’t talk about business deals in public. That’s how I feel. Personally, I don’t charge for collabo. Wizkid didn’t charge me; even when he came to record with one of my artistes here, he didn’t even drink water, not to talk of charging. However, if you meet my management and approach us with a business deal, we won’t turn it down.

STRANGE? Dog Gets A Befitting Burial In Ikeja Lagos [See Photo]

A male Alsatian dog popularly known as Dr. Papilo has got a befitting burial in Lagos. Though Papilo died last month, his burial arrangement was moved to last Saturday where the dog was buried amidst affluence and pageantry.

A service of songs was held for him, an army band played at the funeral with gunshots as a sign of last respect for him while a condolence register was also opened for him at his owner’s resident.

The owner of the dog who owns an hotel in Lagos said the death of his dog who has been with him for 15years is quiet painful. Hear him;

“My wife and I stayed together for some time without a child. Suddenly, people started calling us Papa and Mama Papilo. The dog travelled with me to Jos and Maiduguri.

While in Maiduguri, it was trained and used to hunt bombers. It was a unique dog. In the real sense, it was my first child. When I lost Papilo, I felt sad the same way I felt when I lost my wife. The dog was just too close to me.

“Papilo confronted armed robbers some time ago and gave one of them a serious injury. The robber could not run further, and was later caught by the police.

Everybody knew Papilo in this area. I am missing the dog, and the other six dogs at the hotel are also missing Papilo because it was like their father. Here, we treat dogs like human beings. We give them the best food you could think of,” he said.

The dog was buried in a 4-feet grave decorated with roses in its owner’s hotel in Ikeja after the burial ceremony which took place at Oshifila street in Ikeja.

CBN To Introduce Lower Denominations On ATMs

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) is planning on introducing lower denomination of N200 and N100 on automated teller machines (ATMs) nationwide – the Daily Independent reports.

“We are working towards having the mix of lower and higher denominations and we believe that this will be acceptable by Nigerians and will further enhance the use of ATMs and promote cashless policy further into the rural areas and also
drive the policy of financial inclusion”, Head, Payment System Policy and Oversight Division of Banking and Payments Department of the CBN, Mr Musa Iteopa-Jimoh, said.

He said the introducing lower denominations is good for the apex bank than the current situation where higher denominations are available as it will serve as deterrent for those who want to withdraw huge amounts, because it will be difficult to carry huge amount from ATM points.

He, however, stated that the reason why banks are not putting lower denominations is the cost of processing lower denominations and that the banks find it easy to put higher denominations there because it will mean more money in the machine and the introduction of lower denominations will mean constant loading of the machines.
