Journalist Seun Oloketuyi shared the story and graphic pic on his instagram page, sent to him by a friend of the victim.

Below is what the friend said allegedly happened.


“Just left the hospital and it is worse than I thought.

My good friend is in the hospital in Abuja now for four days with second degree burns.

While he was sleeping his wife poured hot water on him (face legs, thighs, hips).

She then locked him inside while he was screaming “fire, fire”, then she took off.

She is 5months pregnant they have a 16month old.

Been married for a year and a half.

Early in the year, she slapped him which lead to him beating her.

They reconciled. He also complains that they switch house-help every month because she beats the househelp where there is blood on the wall.

Should he stay or get the f out!!…- pissed off friend”

LOBATAN!! Fake Soldier Arrested In Port Harcourt [See Photo]

THE Rivers State Police Command on Tuesday paraded a 30 year-old man who had allegedly been posing as a soldier and using his fake identity to defraud unsuspecting members of the public.

The suspect, who was identified as Samuel Ita Ekeng, was arrested on Friday, November 14, 2014 by a group of security operatives on Ikwerre Road in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ahmad Mohammad, disclosed that Ekeng was arrested while dressed in a full military camouflage.


According to Mohammad, “The Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform members of the public about the arrest of a fake soldier, Samuel Ita Ekeng.

“He was arrested while fully dressed in military camouflage. He goes about parading himself to be an Army (officer), harassing and extorting money from unsuspecting citizens.”

The state police spokesman disclosed that one green guide paramilitary identification card, Nigeria Merchant identity card and three camouflage shorts were among the items recovered from the suspected impersonator.


“Items recovered from him include one green guide Nigeria paramilitary identity card, one Nigeria merchant identity card bearing his name, three camouflage shorts, one military camouflage T-shirt, one military jacket, a pair of military trousers and one military cap,” Mohammad stated.

He explained that though the courts were still under lock and keys as a result of the judiciary workers strike, the suspect would be charged to court as soon as possible.

Mohammad, however, urged members of the public to be conscious of charlatans within their midst and report such cases to law enforcement agents.


He said, “The courts are not working now, but we intend to charge them to court as soon as possible.

Members of the public are hereby advised to be wary of such characters and report any person wearing uniform of any of the security agencies they reasonably suspected to be fake one to the nearest police station.”

We are adults and someday we would get married. We are not same twins, I am from Abia and he is from Imo. It’s just that we are good friends. It is not bad we go our separate ways, though; we are not far from each other”


On Marriage

It has been wonderful and interesting. I thank God for it. As I said earlier, it requires more of responsibility than when one was living the life of a bachelor. I really enjoy my marriage and I thank my understanding wife who takes care of the home while I am away.




On how he relaxes

Yes, I do. What I usually do is that I take a time out after a hectic work. I travel and I may leave one of my phones on in case of any important call. Most times when I am off work, my management team takes care of other things. My brother, I must take time to free myself from any stress either for months or weeks because life is very vital. One is only useful when one is alive. My body is the engine room of what I give out. If I don’t have the physical energy, I won’t be able to give, as well as sustain my best. I have to make sure that my body and soul are in order. This is why I go on vacation. I also unwind, but it is not what I do all the time. I have reduced the number of times I go to club as a married man. You will agree with me that there are some things that I would have to minimise because I have much more responsibilities now. More so, I have exercise apparatus in the house to keep me fit. I love reading books and playing games, especially the play station. I have a lot of things that can take my mind away from acting for a period of time.
